The most important thing when planning your wedding is to make sure it feels like YOU!
All the details and perhaps off-beat things planned in this wedding expressed who Scott and Boudhsalinh are as a couple and the love and passion they express for one another. One of my favorite ceremonies included the foot washing ceremony. This was a way for Scott and Boudhsalinh to experience with guests the way He wrapped us up in His perfect love and brought us together - and this ceremony was such a lovely perfection of Christ's sacrificial love.
It may seem difficult to gracefully incorporate something that seems so gritty (but beautiful!)
This was the very last element of their ceremony before being pronounced husband and wife, on purpose. That way, the first thing they did as a couple was to humbly serve one another. What a beautiful foundation to build a marriage on!
I have never attended a wedding that showed a couples love for God in such a high.
From worshiping during the ceremony, performing a foot washing ceremony, praying continuously throughout the night, to persistently serving each other. The intimacy shared was definitely non-stoppable, as they reserved their FIRST kiss for this special day!
WOW is about the only words that could express the emotions and feelings that everyone felt during this night. Tears flowed down every individuals face at some point.... and I won't exclude myself.
I am more than excited to say we were a part of such an important event in this couples life. May God bless you both in a forever loving, caring, and growing marriage.
